Rooftop and Lamppost Smart Drone Charging Pod

We have designed a lamppost and rooftop device consisting of satellite internet, solar panels and wind generators, capturing renewable energy into a battery, for the purpose of creating a GPS navigation system taking advantage of spatial web protocols and permissions for drone navigation, charging, and storage.

Our Smart Drone Charging Pod will allow for the creation of a permission based tollable drone highway with charge stations across water, land, air, wilderness and sea. As well as providing wifi access to passing vehicles, recreationalists, sailors in distress, pedestrians, drones and other autonomous or internet of things objects.

Emergency services and citizens can use the units for emergency or paid access. If these are positioned throughout a city they provide communication even in a power outage as they are solar powered. A lighter than air balloon with a router can be added with a wifi router to increase transmission range for a period of time during emergencies.

A hard drive can be added to allow transmissions of city data, and even augmented reality scenes, audio files or video for educational purposes, bringing history to life or featuring advertisements.

These units are ideal in rural areas and Native American Reservations that have unfortunately been left behind in regards to communication and internet access infrastructure. 15% of our profit from this product will go toward increasing Native American Broadband access.

Mail delivery can also be limited or sporadic in rural areas. Our systems would allow communication, mail delivery and ideally eventually product delivery to those who are in the most remote areas. As a side effect we can provide these people with access to the internet and communication. We plan to fund this process ourselves from our own profit, to help even the playing field for all Americans when it comes to the internet superhighway, medicine, food and product delivery.

In remote areas of the road without cellular services we can offer the chance for much needed highway and rural road emergency communication.

Our invention is a renewable energy based (wind or solar power) autonomous device that connects to the internet via satellite then broadcasts wifi signals for the transit of drones both autonomous and human operator controlled drones. It also uses recycled plastics and materials whenever possible.

A battery is located in the base of the unit as a counter weight and charging device.

Additionally this device will be capable of containing weather monitoring devices and surveillance or search and rescue equipment as customized by the client.

The dome camera is capable of taking a snapshot when object movement is detected on the horizon and notifying observers in other locations via the satellite uplink allowing drone investigation remotely. This device can be used to detect rural fires, gunshots, lightning strikes, tornados, building fires, vandalism, and can be used in city planning or policing where desired.

The dome camera is capable of taking a snapshot and will be capable of detecting lightning strikes, smoke, and fire sources, which will alert operators to send the drone to investigate. This can coordinate with larger drone systems to put fires out quickly before they get big.

Our Smart Drone Charging Pod allows for the creation of a Wifi/GPS navigation highway and charge stations for water and air based drones. Further our product is made from renewable materials when possible, using primarily hydrophobic carbon from renewable sources combined with polymers.

Our system can be used to create a highway of wifi that drones can navigate without the need for energy intensive satellite internet on each drone unit. This allows for inexpensive “disposable drones” to perform complex tasks and upload information remotely. Taking advantage of cloud computing and remote inputs for control and navigation drones will have direct input from operators allowing them to send these drones to investigate, interact with or film locations.

Our system is designed to generate energy from renewable sources with the intent of storing that energy in a battery to run the Smart Drone Charging Pod systems as well as charge drones. Systems currently are optimized for drone solar power, or drone wind power.

We install custom image recognition software and cameras for search and rescue or tracking phenomena like weather, policing and security,  wild life, fire, or waste.

One of our additional functions allows countries and municipalities to “toll” use of the designated spatial web drone highways as well as mooring and charging. This allows cities to collect tolls from drone delivery services, and allows the systems to run on renewable energy.
