Buoy Smart Drone Charging Pod
We have designed a Buoy device consisting of satellite internet, solar panels, wave energy generators, capturing renewable energy into a battery, for the purpose of creating a GPS navigation system taking advantage of spatial web protocols and permissions for drone navigation, charging, and storage.
Our invention will allow for the creation of a permission based tollable drone highway with charge stations across water, land, air and sea. As well as providing wifi access to passing vehicles, recreationalists, sailors in distress, pedestrians, drones and other autonomous or internet of things objects.
Our invention is a renewable energy based (wave generation, wind or solar power) autonomous moored or floating buoy that connects to the internet via satellite then broadcasts wifi signals for the transit of drones both autonomous and human operator controlled drones. It also uses recycled plastics and materials whenever possible.
A battery is located in the base of the buoy as a counter weight and charging device.
Our invention may possess a novel wave energy generation device operating a pulley based crank generator using an external float and weight.
Additionally this device will be capable of containing weather monitoring devices and surveillance or search and rescue equipment as customized by the client.
Another potential use is mooring for water drones to charge drones (as well as monitor for maintenance, loss and service) and deliver plastic during plastic, debris, or oil clean up.
The dome camera is capable of taking a snapshot when ship/object movement is detected on the horizon and notifying observers in other locations via the satellite uplink allowing drone investigation remotely.
Traditionally weather monitoring buoys, energy generating buoys exist. But our Buoy Smart Drone Charging Pod allows for the creation of a Wifi/GPS navigation highway and charge stations for water and air based drones. Further our product is made from renewable materials when possible, using primarily hydrophobic carbon from renewable sources combined with polymers.
Unique uses for the Buoy Smart Drone Charging Pod:
Our system can be used to create a highway of wifi that drones can navigate without the need for energy intensive satellite internet. This allows for inexpensive “disposable drones” to perform complex tasks and upload information remotely. Taking advantage of cloud computing and remote inputs for control and navigation drones will have direct input from operators allowing them to send these drones to investigate, interact with or film locations.
Our system is designed to generate energy from renewable sources with the intent of storing that energy in a battery to run the buoy systems as well as charge drones. Systems currently are optimized for drone solar power, or drone wind power, but our goal is to generate energy kinetically from drone wave power systems.
For water based drones our system uses a latching mechanism to attach drones in rough seas preventing damage to the drones or loss.
We install custom image recognition software and cameras for search and rescue or tracking ships or other ocean phenomena like weather, wild life, or waste.
One of our additional functions allows countries and municipalities to “toll” use of the designated spatial web drone highways as well as mooring and charging at these buoys.
This unit is ideal for monitoring sea based wildlife.
